Holistic modalities (Meditation, Yoga, Sound healing)
I hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University, a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Program (CACREP) approved program.
I have enjoyed the privilege of working with adults in community mental health, substance use treatment, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to walk alongside clients navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, and life’s many challenges.
In our work together, I may weave in holistic practices when it feels appropriate for you. Practices such as Sound healing, Breath-work, Meditation or Yoga can be used when it feels supportive for your treatment plan.
As a certified Crystal Bowl Sound healer, Level 1 Breath-work Facilitator, and 300-hour Yoga teacher, I believe in honoring both mind and body in the healing process.
Above all, I strive to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can feel understood and empowered to create the life you want.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a holistic therapist do? Holistic therapists help people improve their overall health and well-being by addressing their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. They may use a variety of methods including meditation, yoga and alternative therapies.
How many sessions will I need? While the number of therapy sessions can vary depending on several factors; Solution focused therapy tends to be brief and goal oriented. Adding a holistic approach tends to take longer as we are addressing the whole person and it involves deep work/techniques. Depending on your goals, treatment could last 5 to 10 sessions.
Do you accept insurance? No. I find that working with some insurance panels can add pressure to see more people at a lower rate that can lead to burnout. I also value my clients privacy and insurance claims often require diagnostic codes and personal information to be shared for approval of payment. I prefer to keep your stories private.
How often will we meet? We will meet weekly. As we progress towards your goals we will reevaluate the frequency of your sessions.
